Welcome! I'm Jeff Popick, and I'm an expert on how our diet impacts our health, environment, society's tolerance of violence, and even our spirituality … and beyond!
If I could prove that meat and dairy is causing virtually all the problems of the world, and how a vegan diet solves them all, would you consider adopting a vegan diet?
Allow me to give you 5 examples:
- One - Heart disease, cancer, diabetes, obesity, hypertension, you name it - meat causes them all and I can show that veganism doesn't cure them - it eradicates them. Heart disease, for example, kills one million Americans every year, more than all other disease combined, and yet it is a fact that heart disease is virtually nonexistent in vegans. It's scientifically proven that veganism reverses heart disease. What's more, veganism is a lifestyle, not a diet, but have you ever seen an obese vegan?
- Two - I can show how meat is destroying the rain forests, coral reefs, our air and water, and is even causing global warming, and how veganism restores our planet. The rain forests are being wiped-out, contributing to global warming, for one reason - to clear land to grow feed for cattle. Then, without trees, top soil erodes into our oceans killing off massive amounts of marine life and coral reefs. Additionally, since it takes at least twelve pounds of grain to produce one pound of beef, the law of diminishing returns is creating worldwide food shortages. Veganism reverses this and is the only solution to saving the planet.
- Three - I can show that meat eaters are more prone to violence than vegans ... because sociopathic behavior, not feeling the pain of others, is necessary in eating meat. The psychological mechanism that allows us to eat animals, is the same function of sociopathic behavior. Sociopaths feel only their pain and refuse to acknowledge the pain they cause to others. That is what meat eaters do. You can't eat meat without first denying the animal's suffering. And this is the point from which all violence originates. Veganism fosters peace.
- Four - We all claim to be animal lovers, and yet most of us eat animals. With dysfunctional love like that, animals don't need enemies. Our dysfunctional love creates problems, not only for the animals, but for our family, friends and ourselves.
- Five - Meat destroys paradise, while veganism facilitates it. In fact, on PAGE ONE of the Bible God clearly tells man to be vegan. The Judeo-Christian and Muslim God said "I have given you every herb yielding seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed, to you it shall be for food" And, he saw that this was "very good," a paradise. Later, God even said, "Thou shalt not kill."
Clearly, God has been misinterpreted for eons by meat eaters. He succinctly mandated man be vegan; a requisite for paradise. It is precisely at the point where we reject this clear and divine mandate where all problems begin. Still don't believe it? On page six of the bible, after man ate meat, God said, "In toil shall you eat of it all the days of your life."
Even The Buddha said, "To become vegetarian is to step into the stream which leads to Nirvana."
On every level - physiologically, environmentally, sociologically, spiritually and therefore logically - veganism is essential to a paradise on Earth, whereas meatism destroys it.
